This Article is very very different! for one i dont understand why their parents just let them shut themselves in for like years at a time! Are these people Crazy??!! I dont really understand how anyone could get so depressed and could just shut themselves away! Shouldnt the Government do something?? You'd think people would Make them go to school or something! But the one group these people remind me of are GOTHS! Besides Goth Dont Just hide away for 20 years. Depression is hard and everyone goes through it and i guess people just have they're ow way of dealing. Below Are Facts about "Hikikomoris" and "Goths"
"Hikikomori Kid"
-hikikomori is a person, usually a male adolescent/adult, who doesn't leave his/her home for at least six months
-Some people don't leave for 15+ years! This is common in Japan, although it happens everywhere
-The person doesn't leave for a variety of reasons, the most common one being that he/she gets teased for being different
"Goth Kid"
-15 youths said they were Goths or "heavily" identified with the Goth subculture. Eight of those participants (53%) reported ever deliberately trying to harm themselves and almost as many reported ever attempting suicide (47%).
-Problems Start from social class, parents' marital status, smoking, drug use (not counting alcohol), and past depression
- Goth" refers to a youth culture that views things that are evil or dark as beautiful.
